Would Disney ever consider creating a unique film for Figment? That’s the question Josh D’Amaro was asked at his first Annual Shareholders Meeting as CEO.
Figment Movie?

We all know it. Josh D’Amaro knows it. These shareholder meetings almost always have a question involving everyone’s favorite dragon, Figment. When asked about the possibility of a Figment movie, the new CEO said:
I love the fact that there is so much adoration for Figment. He’s stood the test of time as a fan favorite, and he clearly continues to spark creativity and imagination across generations. And I think that’s, I think that’s really cool.
-Josh D’Amaro
He also mentioned the ‘How Not to Draw‘ short, narrated by Neil Patrick Harris. “It’s really fun and it celebrates figment and his connection to imagination.”
Unfortunately, no new announcements regarding a Figment movie were made today. However, D’Amaro assures us that Disney is always exploring new ways for guests to engage with Figment.
There have been rumors and announcements suggesting a Figment TV series is in the works. In 2022, a Figment film was in development from Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit (Pokémon Detective Pikachu) attached as writers. But then-CEO Bob Iger ignored this potential film when asked about a Figment movie in early 2025.
