Josh D’Amaro posted on social media congratulating Bob Iger on his long career with The Walt Disney Company. D’Amaro has officially taken the CEO mantle from Iger.

D’Amaro Congratulates Iger

D’Amaro shared a photo of the pair outside the company headquarters and wrote on Instagram:

Congratulations to Bob Iger on a legendary Disney career. Thank you for your vision, your courage, your leadership, and your friendship.

I am honored to lead this extraordinary company. We have a bright future ahead of us.

During his first appearance as CEO on the Annual Meeting for Shareholders Wednesday morning, D’Amaro also said:

Bob, on behalf of our employees, cast members, shareholders, and fans around the world, thank you so much for your tremendous leadership, your steadfast support, and your countless contributions to The Walt Disney Company. You set an incredible example for all of us. And personally, I can’t thank you enough for your mentorship and friendship through the years. You will be missed.

Iger will continue to serve as Senior Advisor and a member of the Disney Board until his contract is up at the end of 2026.
