Disney Adventure World debuts today, March 29, introducing World of Frozen and other brand-new themed experiences to Disneyland Paris.
The First Big Park Opening for New Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro

The Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer, Josh D’Amaro, spoke to a group of press and media guests at Disneyland Paris for a special inauguration event ahead of Disney Adventure World’s opening on March 29.
D’Amaro was joined by Disneyland Paris President, Natacha Rafalski, and Chairman of Disney Experiences, Thomas Mazloum.

The two executives shared comments about Disney Adventure World prior to CEO Josh D’Amaro taking the stage. Thomas Mazloum succeeded D’Amaro in the role of Chairman of Disney Experiences earlier this month, following D’Amaro’s own ascension to the CEO spot. Natacha Rafalski has overseen Disneyland Paris as President since December 2018.

In his speech to the crowd, D’Amaro emphasized the strength of the partnership between Disney and France in developing Disneyland Paris resort, and tied the company’s special connection to Europe back to Walt Disney’s ancestry.

You can listen to the inaugural announcement through our Instagram coverage below. His full speech reads as follows:
Conssumate storyteller, Walt drew inspiration from Europe’s ancient tales and fabled castles. You can feel that influence throughout our history, and especially right here at Disneyland Paris. This destination is clearly grounded in a powerful relationship between our company and this nation where the Disney family traces its roots.
Tonight, we celebrate what’s possible when creativity and innovation are met with the support of a steadfast partnership. Together, Disney and France have built this magical place into Europe’s leading tourist destination, visited and loved by millions of guests every single year.
World of Frozen and the reimagined Disney Adventure World are the latest shining examples of this lasting and powerful relationship. We continue to dream bigger and bring stories to life in brand new ways.
Disney Adventure World is the new name of the second theme park at Disneyland Paris.
The reimagined version of the resort’s former Walt Disney Studios Park refocuses its overall theme to host immersive worlds based on Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories, instead of the original movie-production theming that guided the park’s original format.
Walt Disney Studios Park originally opened in 2002. The rebranded Disney Adventure World officially opened to guests today, March 29, 2026.
With Disney Adventure World’s grand opening underway as of this article, we will be bringing you the very latest in new experiences, merchandise, and other guest offerings as we uncover all the new and improved elements to Disneyland Paris’ second park.
