Universal has removed “3-D” from the attraction’s title on their website and all references to 3-D have been removed. Searching the site for King Kong still comes up with the former page with “3-D” in the title, but the link no longer works.

King Kong 360 has been closed for two weeks to make the conversion from 3-D to 2-D. Previously, guests put on 3-D glasses for just this section of the Studio Tour but glasses are no longer required.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong, an expanded version of King Kong 360 at Universal Islands of Adventure, also removed 3-D in 2024.
