More scrim and scaffolding has been installed around the iconic 40-foot-tall Fender Stratocaster guitar in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The guitar will be repainted as the ride becomes Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Scrim
Scaffolding and scrim went up a few days ago, but the top of the guitar was still visible. Additional scaffolding has been installed and covered with scrim, leaving only a bit of the guitar’s body poking out.
The scaffolding also extends in front of the guitar, around the piano motif at its base. There are construction walls keeping guests out of the area.

When the ride reopens as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets this summer, the guitar will have a colorful psychedelic design. The piano will include one gold key inspired by Dr. Teeth.
The upside down guitar at the other end of the guitar’s strings is also being painted with red flames.
