The official teaser has been released for HBO’s new “Harry Potter” television series, starting with “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” We also learned it will premiere earlier than anticipated!
“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” Teaser

Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will be Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will be Ron Weasley. The new Golden Trio was chosen from an auditioning pool of more than 30,000 actors.
Other cast members for the series include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Olivander. Previously announced cast includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
In addition to the teaser, HBO has confirmed that the show will premiere “this Christmas” on HBO and HBO Max. It was previously slated to release in 2027. It will be a decade-long, seven-season “faithful” adaptation of the “Harry Potter” series by J.K. Rowling
Francesca Gardiner serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with Mark Mylod as executive producer and director of multiple episodes. Rowling will also serve as executive producer.
