Painted Scrim Now Lining Part of Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland

In late February, we noticed that many of the storefronts from Carnation Café to Refreshment Corner along Main Street, U.S.A., were fully covered in beige scrim at Disneyland. Now those scrims have been replaced with painted ones, bringing vibrancy back to the park’s main stretch.

Painted Scrim

The plain scrims lining Main Street, U.S.A., have been replaced with painted ones that show the facades of the buildings behind them. Beneath the scrims are beige walls that have been in place since late February. These walls have signage on them directing guests on where to go.

At this time, the decorative facades of Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, the Penny Arcade, and Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen are still covered by walls.

Even with this new scrim in place, we still do not know how long the buildings will be covered or what kind of work is being done. We assume there is an exterior refurbishment going on.
