REVIEW: All Bluey-Themed Food and Beverage Items Available at Disneyland

Bluey has taken over the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park with “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” There are also several new food and beverage items to celebrate, and we reviewed all of them.

There is also a popcorn bucket and sipper available. And, if you need a refresher on Bluey characters before your visit, read our ultimate guide to all the characters.

Pizza Girls Baked Potato – $12.29

Another item that tastes exactly like you would expect it to. A well-baked potato of good size with Alfredo sauce (the hidden gem), marinara, sausage, pepperoni, bacon or ham, mozzarella, and parmesan crust topping—a unique idea, decently executed. Meat toppings were okay quality and flavor-wise, nothing great. Shareable but a bit messy. Feels like comfort food. Solid but not overly special in theme or flavor.

Poffertjes! Poffertjes! – $7.99

We genuinely loved these. A spongy, moist, fluffy, and slightly sweet pancake that’s the perfect size for snacking. The powdered sugar was just the right amount on top to add sweetness but not overwhelm. The buttered condensed milk was almost tangy in flavor and added a unique flavor complement to the more subtle pancake. It all balanced really nicely, and we enjoyed every bite. Very shareable and a good size for the price. Delicious and unique, and our must-get from this menu for sure!

Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel – $3.99

Very messy! It started melting as soon as we got it, but we were willing to give it grace, as it was an unseasonably hot day. Flavor-wise, it’s nothing flashy or surprising: just sweet and simple white chocolate coating a crunchy, fresh, lightly-salted pretzel rod. This was fine, but you have to like white chocolate. The size was good for the price. It’s an Instagrammable, cute novelty snack that’s adorably themed. Points for value and theme, but otherwise nothing special.

Pavlova Parfait – $7.99

Pavlova Parfait - $7.99

This dessert has sweet meringue “confetti” pieces on top. It has vanilla yogurt mousse underneath the other layers that tastes just like a light vanilla yogurt. The berry compote is a sour and sweet mixture similar to holiday desserts. The vanilla cake is nice and moist. It’s fruit-forward and tasty, with a good balance of sweet and sour. The candied kiwi provides a unique, flavorful touch.

While it looks elaborate, it is actually somewhat basic and difficult to eat altogether because of the hard meringue toppings. It is an enjoyable, above-average dessert that is not overly sweet or artificial. Although slightly expensive for its size, it is shareable.

Watermelon Ice Block – $5.79

Watermelon ice block from Disneyland

This is a well-balanced, fresh-tasting watermelon popsicle. It has a slight artificial watermelon flavor, but it is not “candy-level” artificial. It is sweet and a little sour, but neither is too overpowering. The popsicle is very refreshing and light, though it melts quickly. Solid for the price if you like watermelon.

Mud Cake Cold Brew – $7.79

This is exactly how you want this to taste. Rich, tasty cold brew with good-sized brownie pieces that add salty sweetness. The rainbow sprinkles are fun, and the malted milk topping is the perfect balance of malt to cream. Nothing bad to say about this other than that we wish there was a bit more of the malt topping, but overall, this is an enjoyable cold brew. Not the most unique or necessarily a “must try,” but it’s a tasty grown-up beverage that makes you feel like a kid again.

Lime Ice Block Drink – $10.79

Bluey Lime Ice Block Drink from Disneyland

Before mixing, the drink has a noticeable but not overwhelming coconut milk texture and non-dairy creaminess. The lime flavor is present and combines with the coconut for a tropical, citrusy taste, a bit reminiscent of a Piña Colada. As the watermelon popsicle melts and is mixed into the drink, it becomes more sour and less coconutty.

The combined flavors result in an “off-putting” color and a more sour and tangy drink that doesn’t feel intentional. Buy the drink, but take the watermelon ice block out ASAP and enjoy them separately.

Review out of 7: 6/7 unmixed, 4/7 mixed with soda

Stumpfest Cake – $7.99

Chocolate roulade with white chocolate mousse and ganache

Bluey Stumpfest Cake from Plaza Inn at Disneyland

An elevated swiss roll. Very light, the mousse was mostly just creamy and sweet. The cake was spongy and moist but very airy. The chocolate frosting layer was thin but had the most flavor of all three, which is saying a lot because the flavor was very subtle, pretty much just “sweet dessert” flavored.

Not bad, but overall very unexciting. A point for cuteness with the colors and flowers, but very average and not memorable.
