Butterbeer Season has begun at Universal Studios Hollywood and we tried the new Butterbeer Waffle. It’s available at the Three Broomsticks, along with the Butterbeer Cream Puff. Butterbeer Season runs through May 31.
Butterbeer Waffle – $12.99

Universal accomplished what they set out to do with this waffle and they did it very well. It’s a solid size and shareable. The waffle is cooked well throughout, fluffy and spongy, with the right amount of moisture. It’s not mushy or dry at all. The flavor is a tasty malted waffle with a bit of vanilla. It’s not overpowering.
They give you the right amount of syrup. That’s where the Butterbeer flavor shines. It isn’t overly sweet like some maple syrup. The butterscotch flavor is prominent with a hint of cream and it complements the waffle perfectly.
The fresh whipped cream and strawberries are also great toppings. Visually, it’s adorable. We love the Butterbeer barrel butter. They didn’t need to do that because the waffle itself is already branded, but it adds an extra cute touch to the presentation.
We liked this even more than the Butterbeer crepe at Epic Universe. Butterbeer lovers must try this. Kids and adults will be happy with it for breakfast or dessert.
