A week ago, fresh flames were outlined on the upside-down car at the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster courtyard. These were then filled in with bright red paint. Another color has since joined the car: yellow.

The car greets guests entering the courtyard, acting as a preview of the experience to come. One side of the car was painted a few days after Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith closed on March 1. Now the whole car, including its hood and trunk, has been painted with a bright tint of yellow adjacent to the red.

The red and yellow are being added over the limo’s classic blue paint. The upside-down car is based on the ride’s vehicles, indicating they will get similar makeovers. We don’t know what the final design will look like.

We do know the giant guitar in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will get a psychedelic makeover. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will reopen this summer as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Scaffolding and scrim went up a week ago, but the top of the guitar was still visible. Additional scaffolding had been installed and covered with scrim, now leaving nothing of the guitar’s body poking out.

The scaffolding also extends in front of the guitar, around the piano motif at its base. There are construction walls keeping guests out of the area.

People gather at night in front of the brightly lit Rock 'n' Roller Coaster guitar at a theme park attraction.
In the new version of the ride, guests still enter G-Force Records on a V.I.P. tour, this time encountering the Electric Mayhem.

G-Force Records has been bought by Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse. He put Scooter in charge, and guests will meet the manager in animatronic form in the new pre-show. There, guests will also see animatronic penguin audio engineers, Miss Piggy and Kermit on screens, and the band.

To reach the Electric Mayhem’s concert on time, guests board limousines altered by Muppet Labs. The ride’s scenery and landmarks will feature a Muppet twist, and guests will hear the Electric Mayhem playing iconic hits.
