Scaffolding Removed From Grizzly River Run Although Work is Not Done

Scaffolding has come down throughout Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure, although work clearly isn’t complete.

The ride has been closed since January for an extensive refurbishment.

Scaffolding has covered this rock wall for several weeks. We got a peek through the scaffolding in early February when scrim was rolled up due to weather. Now the scaffolding and scrim are gone but the rocks are still two different colors. The majority is gray while some parts are brown.

Scaffolding is also gone from the visible parts of the ride. There's even a little bit of water in the flume. Again, however, nearby rockwork doesn't necessarily look fully painted.

The rockwork is not the only part of Grizzly River Run being refurbished. Crews have also been working on the observation platform, fake logs, and other areas of the water ride.

A reopening date has not been announced.
