Most of the scaffolding has been removed from the upper level of the now white facade of the new Earl of Sandwich location at Downtown Disney District, which will also house Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby.

In our last report, scrim was removed revealing the building. Now, most of that scaffolding has come down to reveal a white exterior and 1960s lighting features.

The modern-style “Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby” sign was revealed a few weeks ago. However, it appears to have been temporarily removed as crews continue to work on the facade.

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby

The addition of Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is part of a years-long reimagining of Downtown Disney District. The venue is a collaboration between world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay and the creators of Earl of Sandwich. The restaurant will be situated on the second floor above the district’s new Earl of Sandwich location. It’s designed to evoke the cultural energy of London’s Carnaby Street during the 1960s.

The interior and atmosphere of The Carnaby are intended to transport guests to the heart of the “Swinging London” era. Planned features include décor, British pop art, and a soundtrack of British Invasion rock music. Patrons will be able to dine in a bar area, booths, or on outdoor terraces that overlook the district.

The menu will reflect classic British fare that has defined Ramsay’s career, including his signature beef Wellington, traditional fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding.

Ramsay recently visited Disneyland Resort to promote the new pub. An official opening date has not yet been announced, but the location is now hiring.
