The Disney Adventure debuted a brand-new fireworks show at sea inspired by The Lion King, which is narrated by Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan. Khan voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of Disney’s live-action The Lion King (2019).

The fireworks show begins with the Circle of Life and narration by Khan.

The fireworks show begins with the “Circle of Life” and narration by Khan. Khan’s narration highlights the story’s universal themes about growing up and learning lessons. Like the song, the show begins soft and slow, even with the single bursts of fireworks.

As the song picks up speed, the fireworks do too. Adding more colors as well as more frequent bursts in the sky.

Exuberant, colorful fireworks follow as "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" plays in the background. It is a slightly different rendition than either of The Lion King films or the Broadway iteration of the story.

Suddenly, fiery red fireworks take over the show to the song “Stampede” from Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway.

The red fireworks are soon joined by multicolored, white, and green ones as “Hakuna Matata” plays, and the mood lightens up once again. The multicolored fireworks were also used in “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” a reminder of childhood innocence and fun.

Next, “He Lives In You” plays to a quick succession of firework bursts. Fans will recognize this song from both The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and the Broadway show.

Like “Circle of Life,” the “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” sequence begins slowly with willow bursts before the song picks up intensity, and the fireworks follow suit.

The show ends with “The King of Pride Rock.” This extended version is also from the Broadway version of the story, which brings the show to a bold and bright finish.

Disney Cruise Line is the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea, though most shows are pirate-themed. The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky is wholly unique to the Disney Adventure. The musical score was recorded with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and features South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir.
