During our April 2 visit to the Disneyland Resort, we noticed more construction progress on the outside of the LEGO Store in Downtown Disney.
New Block Frames at Downtown Disney LEGO Store

Back in February 2026, we reported that the Woody and Buzz Lightyear brick-built figures were removed, shortly followed by the rocket they were attached to. Though the figures have not returned yet, new block frames have been added to the outside of the store.

The decorative frames resemble white, orange, and yellow LEGO bricks stacked on top of each other. White slabs are then placed on the top of the frame, though one of the frames does not have a completed top yet.

There are several of these new brick frames along the side of the LEGO Store. Multicolored walls continue to surround the construction area, and they promise that “something bright and colorful” is coming soon. We’re not sure if the original displays will come back or if they will be replaced with new models.
The construction is part of an ongoing refurbishment at the LEGO Store. In January 2026, the display featuring Prince Phillip fighting Maleficent was restored with new elements, and a new interactive area was added outside.
