Construction for New Island Tower Window at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Crews are working to convert a set of doors into a large window at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Window Work at Island Tower

One of the large windows at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows appears to be broken.

During a visit to Disney’s Polynesian Resort we stopped by the Island Tower, which is the newest Disney Vacation Club addition. We noticed a set of doors in the lobby are being worked on.

One of the large windows at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows appears to be broken.

From the outside, several rolling planters block the entire window display. One of the doors has a black cover over it.

Inside, a temporary wall with a door has been installed over the entire area. Plastic sheets line the top.

Pictured above is what it usually looks like. A cast member confirmed that the doors are being converted to match the windows on the other side.

The Island Tower opened in December 2024. Read our review of the resort and if it’s worth visiting.
