Fans of cookies and cream or hazelnut flavors may want to pay a visit to The Plaza Restaurant during their next visit to Walt Disney World.
Out with the Old Shakes, In with the New
In a quiet change to the menu at Magic Kingdom’s Plaza Restaurant, Disney has replaced two older “Artisanal Shake” offerings with two new recipes.
The Plaza Restaurant, a table-service restaurant located toward the end of Main Street, U.S.A. as you approach Cinderella Castle, has served three artisanal shake options since 2023, in addition to the standard selection of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.
The specialty shakes previously included a “Chocolate Pecan Brownie Milk Shake” which featured “hand-dipped chocolate ice cream blended with spiced pecans, brownies, and chocolate sauce.” The second “Key Lime Milk Shake” contained “hand-dipped vanilla ice cream blended with key lime curd and graham cracker crumbs,” and the third “Strawberry Shortcake Milk Shake” included “hand-dipped strawberry ice cream blended with vanilla cake and strawberries.”
More recently, however, it appears that The Plaza Restaurant has replaced the chocolate pecan brownie and key lime shakes with two new offerings.

Chocolate-Hazelnut Milk Shake – $9.50
The new, chocolate-heavy shake is not too far off in its core nature from the previous chocolate pecan recipe. Disney describes the new chocolate-hazelnut shake as “blended hand-dipped vanilla ice cream with hazelnut spread topped with whipped cream and crème wafers.”
Cookies ‘n Cream Milk Shake – $9.00
This shake update appears to take the slot of the key lime shake, opting for a more traditional flavor variety. Disney describes the shake as “blended hand-dipped ice cream topped with whipped cream, cookie pieces, and a cherry.”
Of note, the cookies ‘n cream shake is priced identically to the standard shake flavors, which is 50¢ less than the chocolate-hazelnut and strawberry shortcake options.

All shake flavors are available throughout lunch and dinner service at The Plaza Restaurant.
