Disney Reveals Name and Date for 'Up' Attraction in Disney Adventure World

We now know the name and opening timeline for the Up-inspired ride coming to Disney Adventure World in Disneyland Paris.

‘Up’ Attraction is Officially Wilderness Explorer Sky Swings

The first-ever Up attraction will be Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, a “flying chair carousel” that’s been a classic theme park ride for centuries. The attraction’s “story,” as it is, involves guests joining the Wilderness Explorers to earn their “Aviation” badge as they take flight on 48 chairs that hold a total of 64 guests.

The attraction’s architecture and queue will combine Art Nouveau influences with industrial touches. Concept art reveals wrought iron arches mingling with balloon and cloud motifs. The queue in particular will be heavily themed, with four areas representing key moments from the film and featuring iconic props, including Carl’s boyhood aviator helmet and Ellie’s adventure book.

Imagineers can’t wait for guests to earn their wings with the Wilderness Explorers when the Sky Swings officially launch in 2027.
