Final roofing has been installed on a section of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new Disney Vacation Club resort under construction at Walt Disney World.

The green roofing is visible across these two blocks of rooms. It covers the slanted overhang atop the building. The decorative roof element between the two sections doesn’t appear to have the green roofing yet.
This evergreen color is distinct from the blue sheathing we could see from the sky in bioreconstruct’s aerial photos a few weeks ago. A rectangle of that blue sheathing is still visible at one end of this roof that has yet to be fully covered.
So far, we’ve only spotted the green roofing on the southeastern side of the building, closer to the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds.
The green color is straight out of artwork for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the original concept for this resort.
Reflections – A Disney Lakeside was announced in 2018 but construction stalled before it could really get off the ground due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney eventually announced Disney Lakeshore Lodge, which appears to be the same resort with a new name.
The painting that began last month also reflects the Reflections art. Walls continue to be painted a muted seafoam green.
At a distance, it can be hard to distinguish between the green paint and gray concrete. In our close-up photo above, the gray unpainted concrete is on the left while the fresh green paint is on the right.
Paintwork is underway on both the north and south sides of the resort, but mostly to the east closer to the Campgrounds.
The western side, closer to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, still has a lot of exposed yellow sheathing and metal framing.
It’s the opposite story for the A-frame cabins. Those to the west appear near completion.
Black insulation is still being added to the cabins to the east.
