For Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, Sanji’s Galley has taken over Hollywood & Dine. The Straw Hat Pirates’ cook is serving up specialty items for the event. Last year, this restaurant was at Cocina Mexicana.

Sanji’s Galley

The Sanji's Galley signage has the restaurant's name above Sanji's Jolly Roger which has a fork and knife instead of crossed bones.

Banners with characters and specialty meals flank the sitting area outside the restaurant. On the left side of the entrance are banners of Franky, Usopp, and Chopper. On the other side are Usopp (again) and Luffy.

Along the walkway are more character banners with Jinbe and Brook.

There are also banners of Sanji himself, along with repeated characters like Luffy and Franky.

Sanji’s Jolly Roger and the One Piece logo are both displayed on the wall in the outdoor seating area.

Specialty food options for Fan Fest Nights include dishes named after One Piece characters. For example, Sanji’s Seafood Fried Rice or Franky’s Loco Moco Burger.

The flavors are inspired by Captain Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew’s epic voyages:

  • Luffy’s Meat on the Bone: a sweet-chili ginger pork (on a bone-resembling skewer) served on a bed of pork and kimchi fried rice
  • Franky’s Loco Moco Burger: an all-beef burger topped with pork, onion rings, fried egg, and miso cola gravy served with star-shaped tater tots
  • Brook’s Spicy Katsu: crispy chicken katsu with a spicy sauce served with white rice and cabbage slaw
  • Jinbe’s Watermelon Salad: a blend of marinated watermelon, soba noodles, cucumber, carrots, seaweed, and ponzu dressing
  • Pirate Bounty Funnel Cake: topped with toffee sauce, white chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, candy treasures, and a One Piece wanted poster
  • Luffy’s Straw Hat: a salted caramel-filled mousse dome with vanilla bean sponge and praline filling
  • The Chopper Cupcake: made with vanilla sponge cake, cotton candy crisps, and cotton candy buttercream, is back for another year at Fan Fest

Over in Laemmle Courtyard, across from Hollywood and Dine, will be the ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Den, which serves up several non-alcoholic beverages inspired by the Straw Hat Crew.

In Universal CityWalk, NBC Sports Grill & Brew also has some One Piece-inspired menu items. Luffy’s Hamburg Steak is a classic Japanese Hamburg steak — two charbroiled beef patties with gravy and mashed potatoes. The Three Sword Chimichurri Burger is a three-patty smashburger tower with green chimichurri and jalapeno representing Zoro’s signature green hair. Sanji’s Curly Brow Shrimp Pasta has two Cajun shrimp skewers on top of spicy Cajun alfredo pasta.
