There’s a reason Disney doesn’t place many Audio-Animatronics outside. Exposure to the elements can cause problems. But it’s not often those elements are crows looking for nesting material.
Crows Steal Rapunzel’s Hair
The Rapunzel animatronic in her tower at Tokyo DisneySea got up close and personal with a pair of crows who decided her hair was perfect for their nests — or maybe they were just seeking the same youthfulness as Mother Gothel. The figure kept swaying and singing as the birds plucked clumps of hair from her head, all captured on video by X user @k_maru_dau_baby.
The animatronic is part of the outdoor introduction of the Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival ride in Fantasy Springs. She sings “When Will My Life Begin” in Japanese as guests sail past in their gondolas.
