Fans of Pop Century’s retro stylings can check out these new items at the resort’s Everything POP gift shop. These new items join a variety of new releases themed to the resort’s aesthetic, including a T-shirt and a ceramic coffee mug, which we spotted on a previous visit.
Pop Century Zip-Up Hoodie – $59.99
This new sea blue zip-up hoodie arrives just in time for Florida’s spring season, where visitors may experience chillier-than-expected nights after a blazing day at the parks. The new design features Disney’s Pop Century logo on the left chest, while the reverse side features a large and vibrant Pop Century-inspired design, featuring the Sensational Six arrayed in a series of retro geometric shapes and patterns.
Pop Century Tervis Sipper Tumbler – $44.99
The retro-theming continues with this new Tervis tumbler, featuring a locking sip-top to ensure spill-proof travel. The design features a repeating squares pattern consisting of various Mickey icons, segmented circles, and burst shapes in a series of alternating warm colors.
Pop Century Minnie Ears – $36.99
By far the boldest addition to this collection, we have a new pair of Minnie Ears featuring an oversized plush orange bow, the resort logo pinned at the bow’s center, and accents of floral ornamentation in a very groovy design across the bow and the ears. The iridescent ears seem to be reminiscent of CD’s – Compact Discs for you younger readers – with their signature multicolored shimmering surface texture.
And with that, CD’s are officially retro enough to fit the Pop Century aesthetic, according to Disney designers. For you older readers – I’m sorry for being the bearer of bad news.
Magnet – $14.99
This magnet shows Minnie and Mickey smiling with their hands on their faces. Disney’s Pop Century Resort is also featured in a multicolored retro font/configuration.
The lobby and dining hall of Pop Century were recently refurbished, both now featuring similar colors and imagery as seen across these designs.
