It looks like a refurbishment is underway on the facade next to the Mickey’s PhilharMagic entrance in Disney California Adventure. Scrim, scaffolding, and construction walls now surround the corner of the building.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic Facade Refurbishment

The scrim and scaffolding completely envelop the facade, including the tower at the corner. This corner of the building consists of white walls and windows, which are usually covered by curtains. Sometimes, there are special displays in one window.

Though the construction is likely a regular refurbishment, it may also be related to the upcoming transformation of the nearby backlot area. It will be replaced by a new Avatar land, resulting in the permanent closure and demolition of Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!
See the building without signs of construction in our video of Mickey’s PhilharMagic below.
