20th Century Studios and Disney’s highly-anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2 is projected to have a nearly $180 million worldwide debut.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 Box Office Projections

The sequel is releasing on May 1 and is expected to make between $73 million and $80 million at the domestic box office opening weekend. U.S.A. and Canada presales are already at $20 million, Deadline reports.
This puts The Devil Wears Prada 2 ahead of Project Hail Mary ($80.5M opening) and Dune: Part Two ($82.5M opening).
The original The Devil Wears Prada (2006) made $326.5M globally after a $27.5M domestic opening. It was nominated for dozens of awards, including two Oscars: Best Actress for Meryl Streep and Best Costume Design for Patricia Field.
Streep returns as Miranda Priestly in the sequel, alongside Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.
