Visibility Stakes, Walls Expanded, and More Updates at Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Orlando Resort

Over the weekend, the construction crews at the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift construction site at Universal Orlando Resort were busy placing visibility stakes and expanding construction walls. Between our reporter on the ground and aerial photographer bioreconstruct in the sky, we have an idea of what’s going on.

From the air, we can see a concrete block building in the center of the site, surrounded by track footers. We saw this block structure being built in our last update from the ground.

The bright orange poles and markers in close proximity to forms and coaster mounting points are to increase the visibility of these important items for the workers and heavy equipment usage. These are just for visibility and awareness during construction and are not permanent.

A pile of orange safety markers sits behind the Hard Rock Cafe. The blue poles to the left are actually track supports wrapped in protective coverings.

Here’s an aerial photo of the coaster’s switch track near CityWalk. Tall orange-tipped stakes have been added for visibility and there’s earthmoving currently in progress to fill in the excavation.

More pieces of the coaster track are being staged for installation.

Additional fencing has also appeared next to the site. It’s unclear what this is for at the moment, although it’s most likely for more equipment staging.

Here’s the guest’s perspective of the construction walls.
