In a new WED Talks video from Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), principal creative producer Bowie takes viewers on a tour of The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge in Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris. He explores the many details that came together to make this new restaurant a reality.

In the video, Bowie explains that the design of the restaurant borrows from several different “architectural streams.” There are elements of Mediterranean design and Victorian, but the main style is that of Art Nouveau. He walks guests through details they wouldn’t otherwise know about the restaurant, like the fact that the stained glass in the entranceway came from Germany.

Bowie goes on to explain that the nine plates on display inside the restaurant are one of his favorite details at Regal View. Each represents a different princess and, he says, was done in collaboration with the graphics team at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Royal Delft, a renowned Norwegian pottery company.
