The communications veteran from Disney’s Searchlight Pictures is the latest in a series of executive promotions and shake-ups at The Walt Disney Company.
Disney’s Searchlight Executive Moves to Disney Studios

The Walt Disney Company announced on Friday April 10 that Nastasya Morauw, Vice President of Communications & Awards at Disney’s Searchlight Pictures, is moving to the role of VP, Communications at Walt Disney Studios.
In the new position, she will be the primary communications lead for Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios productions.
Morauw is a film-industry communications executive who had been serving at Searchlight Pictures – formerly owned by Fox – for just under five years, meaning her tenure at the studio was spent under Disney’s ownership after Disney acquired the studio in 2019. According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined Searchlight under the director-level version of the same role.
Earlier in her career, Morauw worked in publicity and communications roles at DDA, FRANK PR NYC, Twentieth Century Fox, MRC, and Warner Bros.
The move comes after Paul Roeder was named Chief Communications Officer for The Walt Disney Company earlier in March. In her new role, Morauw will presumably report to Roeder, who himself has worked with Disney for 25 years.
