Captain Cacao, an original character of Celestial Park in Epic Universe, will finally begin meet and greets this week.
Captain Cacao Meet and Greet
Universal Orlando Resort announced Captain Cacao will start appearing in Celestial Park on May 22—the one year anniversary of the opening of the park. The dark blue bear wears a bright blue captain’s hat and orange sash. He has a white star around one of his eyes.
Universal did not announce times or an exact location for the Captain Cacao meet and greet but this information will likely be available in the resort’s app.
Captain Cacao also surprised the Celestial Park Project Team, who thought they were taking a one-year anniversary picture. They were able to share a moment with the chocolate bear.
Captain Cacao is featured on merchandise, decorations, and treats in Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets. According to the shop’s backstory, he travels the universe with Maya of the Skies looking for different confections in their moonship powered by star-shaped marshmallows.
Captain Cacao merchandise, particularly the plush, has been so popular it has sold out for weeks at a time.
