Del Monte Launches ‘Toy Story 5’ Campaign With Themed Fruit Stickers, Tags, Sweepstakes, and More

Fresh Del Monte has partnered with Disney and Pixar on a new worldwide marketing campaign inspired by Toy Story 5, which arrives in theaters this summer.

As part of the collaboration, more than 600 million themed pineapple hangtags and banana stickers featuring characters from Toy Story 5 will appear in stores worldwide. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and other familiar characters from the Pixar franchise will be featured on select Del Monte fruit packaging leading up to the film’s release.

The campaign will also include in-store activations, digital promotions, social media content, and a new sweepstakes tied to the upcoming Pixar sequel.

Fans ages 18 and older can scan QR codes found on the co-branded fruit packaging for a chance to win a five-night family vacation to Barcelona, Spain. According to Del Monte, the prize package includes visits to local attractions such as the Colorful Park & Gardens, the Barcelona Science Museum, and a guided horseback excursion through Montserrat.

Toy Story 5 will arrive in theaters on June 19th. According to the film’s synopsis, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of Bonnie’s toys will face a new challenge as technology begins competing with traditional playtime.

Disney and Pixar have also partnered with several other brands ahead of the film’s release, including a new collaboration with Papa Johns featuring themed personal pizzas, collectibles, merchandise, and more inspired by Toy Story 5.
