Disney has been working with the iconic children’s charity for decades, and Disney Parks have shared a peek at some of this year’s life-changing events.
‘Week of Wishes’ 2026 Campaign

Disney marked its 2026 “Week of Wishes” campaign with a series of Make-A-Wish experiences across its parks, resorts, cruise line, entertainment divisions, and international destinations.
The campaign, which was centered around World Wish Day on Wednesday, April 29, spotlighted nearly 200 signature wish experiences, including Marvel-themed events, Disney Cruise Line moments, Broadway-related wishes, ESPN appearances, and other personalized opportunities built around wish children’s chosen interests.

The images from the past week’s campaign show children and families taking part in character interactions, creative activities, photo experiences, and milestone celebrations at Disney destinations around the world.

Among the 2026 highlights, Disneyland Paris hosted 80 wish children and families from 10 European countries for a three-day “Frozen”-inspired celebration, while Shanghai Disney Resort offered Super Hero-themed wish experiences with Make-A-Wish Shanghai.

Tokyo Disney Resort hosted a wish family for a day that included “it’s a small world with Groot,” and Hong Kong Disneyland created a photography-focused wish for a 14-year-old guest, later showcasing his images during a reunion event for wish families and alumni.

At Walt Disney World, Disney rededicated the newly reimagined Wish Lounge at Magic Kingdom. The space is reserved for Make-A-Wish families visiting the resort, giving them a quiet place to rest and spend time together during their park day.
As part of this campaign, Disney VoluntEARS have also assembled more than 10,000 wish kits for Make-A-Wish chapters across the United States, with Florida-based cast members packing 2,500 kits as part of the broader nationwide effort.

Disney’s relationship with Make-A-Wish dates back more than four decades. According to Disney, the company helped grant the first official Make-A-Wish request in 1981: a trip to Disneyland for 7-year-old Frank “Bopsy” Salazar.
Since then, Disney and Make-A-Wish have granted more than 175,000 Disney wishes worldwide, expanding beyond theme park trips to include themed experiences across the Disney portfolio.
