Edelweiss Lodge Seating Structure Opens in Disneyland’s Fantasyland

Disneyland has added additional covered seating to Fantasyland with the new Edelweiss Lodge. This is the mystery structure we saw under construction next to Edelweiss Snacks.

The “lodge” features similar roofing, railings, and columns as the snack kiosk. The open walls let the summer air waft in but the roof protects guests from the sun and rain.

The space is filled with tables and chairs. Chandeliers and lamps will provide light in the evenings.

One Edelweiss Lodge sign features rosemaling and the edelweiss flower. Another sign on a lamppost depicts two Coca-Cola bottles in front of mountains.

A fun detail is this measuring stick for the “highest recorded snow pack” at the Matterhorn. It’s 43″ (an inch taller than Matterhorn Bobsleds’ height requirement) and was supposedly recorded in 1959 (the year the ride opened).
