Mystery Structure Next to Edelweiss Snacks Gets Roof as Construction Continues in Disneyland

Last month, an unknown (but pretty) structure appeared behind the construction walls surrounding Edelweiss Snacks in Fantasyland. It now has extra detailing, including a roof.

Construction Continues on Unknown Snack Structure

Edelweiss Snacks is a quick-service eatery located across from Matterhorn Bobsleds, known for turkey legs, slushies, and the Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat. Edelweiss Snacks closed for refurbishment in February 2026 before reopening in early March, but construction walls continue to surround the area even as the snack stand operates normally.

Late last month, we noticed a mystery structure appear behind the brown construction walls. Its theming matches the alpine chalet design of Edelweiss Snacks, with dark wood, steeped roofs, and curved archways. In the weeks since, the unknown structure has gained a solid roof.

Additional scaffolding can also be seen around the building. Small signs reading “Pardon Our Pixie Dust: Edelweiss Snacks is Open” have been hung below the lanterns on the construction walls.

Disney has not officially announced yet what is being built in this area. What do you think this structure might be? Let us know on social media.
