Crews have started to remove themed scrim from Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland as a facade refurbishment wraps up. The Carnation Cafe facade was refurbished first, and now Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is being fixed up.

Construction walls remain up around Carnation Cafe and Gibson Girl, but both venues are open. This week, scrim first came down from the cream-paneled facade and brick facade. Work isn’t quite complete. There’s still scrim and plastic on some of the cream-colored overhang.

By Wednesday, scrim was gone from part of the Ice Cream Parlor facade, revealing its refreshed pink brick. The designs of the facades have not changed significantly but it’s clear they’ve been touched up.
This construction project began in February, when this whole stretch of Main Street was blocked by walls and scrim.
