Most scrims and scaffolding have been removed from Hogwarts Castle at Universal Islands of Adventure but refurbishment work is not quite done.
Hogwarts Castle Refurbishment

As captured by photographer @bioreconstruct, there is now only scaffolding around the towers to the right and in the center. But the scaffolding on the right is starting to come down.
Scaffolding previously came down from the hall on the left, which appears completed, as do some of the other towers. Painting continues along the front of the castle, where there is no space for scaffolding to be installed.

The towers on the front right are currently two-tone. The top halves are darker, closer to a finished look, while the bottom halves are still mostly gray.

There are spots of moss elements on the faux stone surface. Crews will apply paint over the moss and then remove them, creating texture and age spots.

These completed areas show the “natural” weathering created from different paint shades and texturing. There are some spots of green resembling algae.

Painting will hopefully wrap up within a few weeks and guests will once again be able to get picturesque castle photos in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
