Imagineering Files Third Permit in a Month for Indiana Jones Ride Sets at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

After Walt Disney Imagineering filed two set installation permits for the new Indiana Jones ride late last month, they have filed another today, May 27. The ride will be part of the new Tropical Americas land replacing DinoLand U.S.A.

The permit contracts Icarus Exhibits Inc to “install set elements” at 501 Restaurantosaurus Rd, the address of the former DINOSAUR attraction. It expires on April 14, 2027. Typically permits expire in one year so it’s a bit interesting to see that there is a specific date. However, it’s too soon to tell if this information indicates anything of note.

Set pieces are one of the biggest ways the Indiana Jones ride will be different from DINOSAUR. The ride will keep its same track, which is already nearly identical to Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. A Maya temple facade will go up in front of the Dino Institute building.

Tropical Americas will open in 2027. See more construction updates in our Tropical Americas page.
