Walt Disney Imagineering filed two set installation permits for the new Indiana Jones ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The ride will be part of the new Tropical Americas land replacing DinoLand U.S.A.

The permits contract scenic companies Adirondack Scenic and Scenario to “install set elements” at 501 Restaurantosaurus Rd, the address of the former DINOSAUR attraction. Both expire in one year.

Imagineering also recently contracted Adirondack for set installation at The Magic of Disney Animation and the former MuppetVision 3D theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Scenario was contracted for work on the Encanto ride also in Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Set pieces are one of the biggest ways the Indiana Jones ride will be different from DINOSAUR. The ride will keep its same track, which is already nearly identical to Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. A Maya temple facade will go up in front of the Dino Institute building.

Tropical Americas will open in 2027. See more construction updates in our Tropical Americas page.
