Along with today’s reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, an updated Magic Kingdom guidemap is available in Walt Disney World.
May 2026 Magic Kingdom Guidemap

On the guide’s cover is a laughing little girl in pink sequined Minnie ears, surrounded by bubbles and iridescent and Disney character balloons. The previous guidemap’s cover featured Mirabel on the Encanto float of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade.

Under the “Fantasy Reigns” header in the first fold are the same informational blocks from the previous two editions of the map: Disney Starlight, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, TRON Lightcycle Run, Happily Ever After, Emporium, Liberty Tree Tavern, and My Disney Experience.

The most noticeable change to the map is, of course, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is now open.

While Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was no longer listed as closed on the previous version of the map (despite still being under refurbishment in January 2026), the description now has an all-caps, bold, purple “REFRESHED!” in front of the attraction name; the rest of the text is the same.

Similarly, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (which recently reopened on April 8) also has a bold purple “RECHARGED!” in front of its name. The “NEW!” is still in front of the description for the Astro Fizz snack kiosk in Tomorrowland, but is also now purple.

The artwork of Frontierland and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad remain unchanged from the last map.

The back of the guide lists park rules and payment options, followed by a Disney Vacation Club ad and a reminder to recycle the map. On another panel is information about guest services and transportation options. These pages are also unchanged from the previous map.
