Palais du Cinema in EPCOT’s France Pavilion Receives New Seats

Palais du Cinema in EPCOT’s France pavilion reopened from refurbishment this week and received new seats. The theater is home to both Impressions de France and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. It has been closed since February.

The exterior and theater lobby are unchanged. The minutes until the next show are on the marquee outside, with Impressions de France performing in the early morning and late evening, and Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along performing from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In the lobby are still various theatrical costumes and props.

Inside the theater, the chairs have the same fold-down style but are completely new. The ends of each row feature carved decorative panels instead of the old flat panels. These also have built-in lights to help illuminate the walkways.

The seats have red velveteen padded backs and faux leather brown seats. The arms and structural pieces are red plastic.
