A few Star Wars fans visiting Disneyland last night got the surprise of a lifetime before boarding the Millennium Falcon.
The Real Mandalorian Surprises Guests on Smugglers Run

In an Instagram video shared by the official Star Wars and Disneyland accounts, Pedro Pascal, the real actor behind the helmet of Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, made a surprise appearance for guests waiting to ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.
At the beginning of the video, Pascal prepares for the surprise while putting on the Mandalorian helmet. He jokes, “Don’t make it too obvious it’s me,” before stepping into the attraction area in costume.

While wearing the helmet, which is likely the same design used for the regular in-park meet and greet for the character, Pascal says, “I don’t think they’re gonna hear my welcome,” then adds, “I’ll just be like, what’s up?” as he gestures with a wave.
We then cut to a number of guests walking into the main hold of the Falcon, the loading area before the ride proper, as a Cast Member greets them with, “Bright suns, travelers!”
The guests react in pleasant surprise as they notice the Mandalorian quietly waiting with them in the main hold. The attending Cast Member then prompts the Mandalorian, asking if he has anything to say before they “send our travelers on their journey.”

Pascal slowly removes the helmet, revealing himself to the group as they react with frenzied excitement.
After the reveal, he jokes, “Now you all have to die because you’ve seen my face.”

The video ends with Pascal posing for photos with the guests, followed by a title card for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The Hype Continues for The Mandalorian and Grogu

In a separate post, Disney Parks shared that Pedro was joined at Disneyland by other stars and creators of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, including Sigourney Weaver, Dave Filoni, and Jon Favreau, all making an appearance in Galaxy’s Edge.
The group appears to have been present just outside of Docking Bay 7 on the walkway overlooking the Millennium Falcon to check out the nighttime show ‘The Curious Child’, which will be showing for a limited time to promote the film’s release on May 22.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and other locations will also offer Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu-inspired dishes and drinks at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Also, be sure to check out the new souvenir novelties coming to both resorts.
