Goofy has taken over CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT once again, turning it into “GoofyCore” for Cool Kid Summer. The overlay includes decorations, a DJ, and games.

Recently, Disney added paint splatter decals to the windows and doors of CommuniCore Hall.

A mural between each set of doors features Goofy’s face and the words, “GoofyCore.” Cool Kid Summer runs from May 26 through September 8.

Signage on the glass displays the showtimes. CommuniCore Hall will be open daily, with Goofycore showtimes at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 3:15, 4:15, and 5:15.

Inside, the space remains mostly unchanged from last year.

Almost all furniture has been removed from inside CommuniCore Hall. There is no merchandise or food for purchase. In the center of the room is a large structure featuring columns covered in paint splatters.

Between the columns is a platform with the DJ’s set up. TV screens mounted around the top of the structure show classic Goofy cartoons. The structure has various knobs, hands, and machine-type elements. This is “Goofy’s Game Machine.”

The hall is relatively dimly lit, but some colorful lights shine down on the structure, illuminating the different colors of paint.

The skylight-style circles in the ceiling feature images from the 1940 short “Goofy’s Glider.” One showcases the glider, while the other shows Goofy in the sky with his parachute.

The carpeting turns the space into a giant board game. There are lines of colorful game squares, some featuring an icon like Goofy’s hat, Minnie’s bow, or an acorn for Chip ‘n’ Dale. Outside of the game squares are polka-dots, music notes, and swirls of color. One circle resembles a pool of water with a rickety wood bridge and a beach ball.

Soft blocks are scattered about for playtime.

Matching decals are along the tops of the walls and running down the wall columns.

One wall is the start and finish of the board game, with special decals above the doorways.

Although there’s not much furniture in the hall, there are cushioned benches along the wall for parents or kids who want to take a break from the fun.

On the wall are giant game cards featuring character faces on one side and instructions on the other.

Goofy’s assistants for GoofyCore activities are the “Goof Troop,” named after the 1990s animated series starring Goofy and Max. These Cast Members wear similar clothing to Goofy’s outfit.

For the performances, they lead the guests through the game board on the carpet. Goofy then enters the room and they begin stretching exercises and dance moves before starting the “activities.” Games may include limbo, parachutes, a version of Simon Says but with Goofy, and a dance party.

The DJ is also part of the Goof Troop. When Goofy isn’t leading games, the DJ will keep spinning tunes.
