$10M is just under last summer’s Thunderbolts* ($11.5M previews) and 2023’s The Little Mermaid ($10.3M previews), which both saw successful runs.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opening weekend presales were $20 million, in line with Project Hail Mary and Dune: Part Two.

It’s currently certified fresh with a 79% Tomatometer and 88% Popcorn Meter on Rotten Tomatoes. The original film is rated 75% / 76%.

The original The Devil Wears Prada (2006) made $326.5M globally after a $27.5M domestic opening. It was nominated for dozens of awards, including two Oscars. The sequel, directed by David Frankel, sees Meryl Streep return as Miranda Priestly, alongside Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.
