Mando and Grogu’s adventures have taken them across a Galaxy Far, Far Away, and now, across American airspace.
Star Wars Plane Gets The Mandalorian and Grogu Update

Disney Parks shared a new look at Alaska Airlines’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge-themed aircraft, which has been updated with The Mandalorian and Grogu branding ahead of the new mission coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22.
The aircraft in focus is an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800, tail number N538AS, which was originally unveiled in 2022 as “Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort,” a space-black Star Wars livery created in collaboration with Disneyland Resort and Lucasfilm.
The original design featured the Millennium Falcon, TIE fighters, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Disneyland Resort logos, and porgs on the winglets.
Now, the aircraft has received a small update to promote both the Disneyland Resort version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the new Smugglers Run mission, which will debut at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the same day as the new film’s release.

In the first photo, Alaska Airlines crew members pose at the aircraft door wearing Grogu-inspired ear headbands. The exterior of the plane shows the phrase “Welcome Aboard” written in Aurebesh-style lettering above the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Disneyland Resort logos. Below that, a new promotional decal shows the Mandalorian holding Grogu, with the title treatment for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in green and white.
The updated version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will allow guests to choose from new destinations, including Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor, and Coruscant. The engineer positions will also be able to interact with Grogu during the mission.

Another image shows a row of airplane seats with Grogu ear headbands placed over the headrests. Black merchandise pouches and hats with The Mandalorian and Grogu branding are set on the seats, giving the cabin a themed promotional overlay tied to the updated aircraft.

A third photo shows the Mandalorian and Grogu meeting a young fan. The Mandalorian stands in full armor while Grogu rests in his satchel, with the child and an adult guest standing nearby in what appears to have been a special meet and greet experience to promote the film.

The final image collage gives a more complete look at the updated Galaxy’s Edge aircraft. The upper photo shows the black Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800 on the tarmac, with the large Alaska wordmark on the fuselage and the existing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge artwork visible along the body and tail. The lower photo focuses on the front boarding area, where the The Mandalorian and Grogu decal has been added near the entry door.
Alaska Airlines has a long history of Disney-related aircraft liveries. In 2019, the airline debuted a Pixar-themed Boeing 737-800, featuring characters from Toy Story and promoting Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure.
Just last year, the airline unveiled “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer,” another Boeing 737-800 and the airline’s ninth Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft, featuring Princess Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, and Prince Naveen.
