2026 Halloween Horror Nights Houses and Props Spotted at Universal Studios Hollywood

While we were at Universal Studios Hollywood this week, we saw several Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) houses in progress, as well as props.

The first HHN haunted house we spotted in progress was over near Mel's Drive-In. This house so far has the basic elements like sides, a roof, and a balcony built in. It has two windows on either side of the balcony. Our reporter noted that this house is being built where Monstruos houses have been.

Then, over by where the Jurassic World – A Journey Through the Eras walkthrough attraction was for Universal Fan Fest Nights, we saw a ton of props, decor, and HHN storage. We even spotted the building of another haunted house. This one appears, thus far, to have a lot of windows being put in place.

As you can see from the photo above, the props and house are also near Revenge of the Mummy - The Ride. There is a whole line of staged equipment in this area. We cannot say for certain that it is all for HHN, though we presume much of it to be for the upcoming festivities.

Some of the other items we saw, besides the large wooden storage boxes, included a black, Gothic-style archway in progress.

We also saw several Old West wooden wagons, steamer trunks, wooden crates, and barrels.

Lastly, we saw what may be the staging for another HHN house behind Transformers: The Ride-3D. There were crew members at work outside the covered tent areas.

Stranger Things was recently announced as one of the houses for this year’s HHN at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resorts. A Sinners haunted house was announced in late May.
