Construction is now going vertical on a future events center at Universal Epic Universe, with steel beams erected for the first major frame of the structure.
Epic Universe Events Center Construction

New aerial photos from bioreconstruct at Epic Universe show a milestone development for the future events space, as work on its steel framing is now underway.
In our previous update, crews had added more concrete foundation work to the site, with the largest pad recently filled in. At that time, the project was still mostly defined by poured concrete, staged materials, dirt access paths, and early utility work. Now, the structure has begun taking shape above ground for the first time.

In the latest views of the site, the most obvious change is the installation of vertical steel columns and horizontal beams on one of the large concrete pads. The framework now gives the first real sense of the building’s size and footprint, rising from the previously flat foundation area near Celestial Park and Super Nintendo World.

Several rows of steel beams are visible across the main slab, with additional steel staged nearby for continued installation. A crane and construction lift are positioned around the frame, while workers and equipment continue operating across the site.
The latest photos also show more activity around the surrounding construction area. Large quantities of steel and other building materials are staged on the dirt portions of the site. Utility conduits, construction fencing, and other concrete fixtures are visible around the perimeter.
The building is located in Celestial Park, between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World, near a backstage bus loop and across from the area of Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.

While Universal has not officially announced the final purpose of the structure, the size, location, and previously reported permit details point toward a multipurpose event venue.
The space could support corporate functions, private receptions, media events, catered gatherings, convention-adjacent programming, or other group-use offerings tied to Epic Universe.
The project is known in filings as Project P915 and is listed as a 53,886-square-foot, two-level event space, with about 29,749 square feet enclosed. Permit details put the project value at more than $20 million.
Reported occupancy is expected to be roughly 1,200 to 1,400 guests, making it large enough for private receptions, corporate events, media functions, catered parties, and other group-use events tied to Epic Universe.
