Aerial photos from bioreconstruct show the recent progress on both the future multipurpose events center and the expansion pad at Universal Epic Universe.

New aerial photos from bioreconstruct show the continued construction of the multipurpose building at the front of Epic Universe.

More steel structure framing has been added since our last update one week ago on June 21. Additional vertical and horizontal beams have been added to the structure. Significant piles of building materials and steel are still staged next to the crane, assisting their installation.

The building is located in Celestial Park, between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World, near a backstage bus loop and across from the area of Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.

While Universal has not officially announced the final purpose of the structure, the size, location, and previously reported permit details point toward a multipurpose event venue.

The space could support corporate functions, private receptions, media events, catered gatherings, convention-adjacent programming, or other group-use offerings tied to Epic Universe.

The project is known in filings as Project P915 and is listed as a 53,886-square-foot, two-level event space, with about 29,749 square feet enclosed. Permit details put the project value at more than $20 million.

Reported occupancy is expected to be roughly 1,200 to 1,400 guests, making it large enough for private receptions, corporate events, media functions, catered parties, and other group-use events tied to Epic Universe.

Epic Universe Expansion Pad

Aerial photos show the progress on an expansion pad that Universal Orlando owns along Universal Blvd., which sits next to Topgolf Orlando, and is across the road from Pointe Plaza Ave.

This section of the property was recently covered in sand and mass graded. The sand has now been seeded with drought-tolerant grass, and it will be years before a project here is developed. The area featured in these photos does not appear to align with earlier permits or reports we’ve seen regarding Universal Expansion.

Last month, we did see a permit filed for mass grading specifically related to a new attraction, located elsewhere on the property.
