Ongoing refurbishment work at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort includes construction activity on the Great Ceremonial House, guest room buildings, and Wailulu Bar & Grill.
Polynesian Village Resort Construction

Crews continue to work on the Great Ceremonial House — the resort’s lobby. A few weeks ago, the exterior vertical beams were repainted. Other elements have been replaced. On Wednesday, we saw crew members working where two walls meet.
Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace is closed due to the work.

The refurbishment includes improvements to various guest buildings. We saw a crew working on this roof alongside more crew members in a lift and on the ground.

This building is getting refurbished railings and stairs. Access to one staircase is blocked by construction walls.

Crew members were also trimming some trees near the Island Tower pool.

Wailulu Bar at Island Tower closed in April for a roof refurbishment. Paneling has been removed from the roof, as seen through the scrim. It’s scheduled to be complete later this month.

As previously reported, the new bus stop is complete but still not open. Buses continue to drop guests off at the Great Ceremonial House.
The resort’s dock was also recently refurbished and has reopened.
