Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating its tenth birthday with Magic Hour Upgrade Days, which includes extended evening hours on select nights. There is also a lineup of entertainment, seasonal festivities, and more experiences from June 17 to August 31.

Magic Hour Upgrade Days

Guests will be the first to experience brand-new Magic Hour Upgrade Days with extended hours on select nights. The resort will be extending park hours until 10:30 p.m. for 10 select nights. Guests are invited to create even more magical summer memories and keep the celebration going from sunset to starlight. From July 3 to August 1, every Friday and Saturday, Magic Hour Upgrade Days stretch time for guests to make the most out of summer nights.

Exclusive to the extended nights, Tomorrowland will be transformed into the ultimate Disney dance floor. Guests can head over to the Shanghai Disney Resort 10^th Birthday Bash: Summer Beats Celebration where they can groove to the coolest Disney tracks all night long with Disney friends who are dressed to celebrate. Ralph and Vanellope from Disney Animation’s Wreck It Ralph transform the Pepsi E-Stage into a dance floor with electronic dance anthems, energetic performances and playful splashes of water to jumpstart the party.

The celebration shifts into high gear as the 10^th Birthday theme song “Magic Together,” led by an opening dance number by the Star Squad and Disney friends, pulses through the crowd. Followed by an electrifying medley of 10 Shanghai Disney Resort feature hits, the DJ invites guests to be swept up by the rhythm and lose themselves in the magic as the classic canopy on TRON Lightcycle Power Run glows a lightning shade of gold. A special rendition of Club Destin E keeps the festive atmosphere climbing into the night as guests recharge with refreshing drinks and tasty snacks, or add a sparkle to the nighttime celebrations with illuminating merchandise, before the DJ brings the set to an exciting close with a final burst of Disney music.

With select attractions staying open after the Nighttime Spectacular, guests can enjoy magic hour upgrades, looping through the night sky on Rex’s Racer, speeding into the grid on TRON Lightcycle Power Run, racing through the streets in search of Gazelle on Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, and more. As the night unfolds, Disney friends will also be out to greet guests in Tomorrowland and Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land, inviting them to pause and enjoy the summer evenings together.

Toy Story 5-themed Student Month

All June, Shanghai Disney Resort celebrates the highly anticipated Toy Story 5 movie premiere with a special Toy Story edition of Student Month packed with hidden surprises from the movie. This magic can be found throughout Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land and Toy Story Hotel, where themed décor brings new Toy Story 5 scenes into the resort. From brand-new character cards to the upgraded Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger at Andy’s Backyard Games, guests are invited to step into a life-sized Toy Story world.

And for even more immersive experiences, guests can get their faces painted like Woody and Jessie, shop the latest Toy Story 5 merchandise at the Pixar Adventurous Journey Store and Al’s Toy Barn, and refuel at Stargazer Grill or Sunnyside Café with Toy Story 5-themed snacks and beverages. Pixar pals will also be making surprise appearances for guests to meet and interact with, while Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear greet guests in new movie-themed outfits.

As the school year draws to a close, Disney Student Month invites guests to celebrate the friendships made along the way with Toys Homecoming activities. Participants will receive a special play pack with a class yearbook and their assigned missions as they play, connect, and make fun memories together. All around the park, 10^th Birthday magic fills the air as themed décor meets a touch of summer. Disney friends are also mixing up their 10^th Birthday Celebration looks with new summer outfits, and 10^th Birthday signature shows are joined by a full program of summer specials that bring guests even closer to the excitement.

Setting the summer mood as soon as guests step into the park are colorful summer garlands along Minnie Lane, while Duffy and Friends decorations and Mickey-shaped windmills dazzle in the summer breeze in the Gardens of Imagination. For those summer-ready shots, guests can also snap cool poolside-themed photos at the social walls in the park and Disneytown.

Guests won’t be the only ones enjoying the cool fun—they’ll be joined by beloved Disney characters dressed in their summer outfits. Mickey and Friends are preparing for a summer adventure with colorful new raincoats, while Duffy and Friends are getting ready for their own vacation with photo-ready pool and beachside looks. All of these new outfits will make their dazzling debut in the Mickey and Friends Summer Party Kick-Off Show at the Pepsi E-Stage on summer opening day, June 17.

All-new for the magical 10^th Birthday Celebration, Star Squad: Into a Cool Summer brings together Chip ‘n’ Dale, the Shanghai Disneyland Band, and the Star Squad for an immersive celebration in the Gardens of Imagination before daily showings of The Heart of Magic. As the anticipation for the big show builds, the Star Squad invites guests to share a special “With You, It’s Magic+” moment, dancing and singing to ignite the magical stars together.

Besides 10^th Birthday summer specials, guests looking to beat the summer heat will find a cool lineup of watery and refreshing shows to dive into around the resort, with summer editions of the JAMMitors and Swabbie Fight adding splash after splash to the unforgettable memories.

On June 26, for one day only, Stitch fans are in for a treat when the annual Stitch Day Celebration take over the Pepsi E-Stage. In this special edition of the annual tradition, guests can celebrate with Stitch, Lilo and Angel, and enjoy surprise character encounters throughout Tomorrowland.

Food and Merch

Summer is the perfect time to cool off at the resort with new icy treats, exclusive 10^th Birthday menus, and souvenirs. Guests can chill out all summer long by dipping into a rainbow of colorful shaved ices and Magical Summer Slush. From Coconut Flavored Snow Ice with Fresh Pineapple at Star Trail Snacks, Peach Flavored Slush and Waxberry Flavored Slush at select kiosks, and seasonal monthly ice cream cones at Il Paperino, to Magical Fruity Iced Coffee at various locations around the park and souvenir favorites like slush cups with Disney-themed windmill designs and Stitch-themed souvenir cups—there are cool moments waiting for all.

For longer breaks, the summer brunch and afternoon tea at Royal Banquet Hall offer a selection of curated delights perfect for a big summer celebration. Lumière’s Kitchen continues its menu of 10^th Birthday flavors inspired by 10 Chinese cities with fresh arrivals from Changsha, Yangzhou, and Qingdao, while the 10^th Birthday Magic Wish Noodle series welcomes a refreshing summer-limited addition of cold noodles.

Brand-new summer merchandise collections also give guests more ways to escape the heat and create stylish summer looks this season. The Summer Mickey and Friends Splash Diary Collection features apparel, bags, plush, and keychains of Mickey and Friends splashing into their pond adventures. The Duffy and Friends Fruity Jelly Summer Collection is filled with jelly-inspired coolness with candy-toned anti-UV jackets and breezy short-sleeve shirts. Inspired by Disney friends’ beach vacations, the 2026 Summer Stitch and Friends Collection blends ice cream and beach vibes in graphic tees, totes, and woven sun hats, while the 2026 Summer Zootopia Collection offers ice cream crossbody bags and popsicle clips that add a refreshing burst to umbrellas and fans.

Explore Disneytown adventures

This summer, Disneytown Nightlife is back with magical performances, games, and more. From June 17 to August 31, the Summer Night Street Performance fills the streets with music from Lakeshore Lawn every Saturday and Sunday, and Summer Sports Camp at Lakeshore Lawn invites family and friends to enjoy friendly competition on Friday and Saturday evenings. On select Saturdays and Sundays, Captain Adventure takes little explorers on an evening nature excursion under the cool night breeze to discover diverse phenological changes and unlock the natural secrets in the 24 Solar Terms at Wishing Star Park.
