Disneytown at Shanghai Disney Resort had its grand opening on April 26, 2016, two months before the adjacent theme park officially opened. Disneytown is decorated for the occasion and offering a few unique experiences this spring.
Disneytown 10th Anniversary
Throughout the shopping and dining district are blue and gold decorations like the number “10” on plinths and a Chef Donald statue wearing special accessories. 10th anniversary banners feature the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
New window displays at World of Disney showcase Mickey, Duffy, and their friends in light-up displays. One depicts Mickey and Friends in front of castle windows. Another display features a 10-shaped clock with Mickey in the center. Duffy and Friends are depicted among constellations in a third display.
Experiences include personalized merchandise options, nature excursions, and the Spring Lakeshore Market. Take a stroll to “Discover the Wonders of Spring.” Learn about nature with the theme of 24 solar terms.
Shanghai Disney Resort kicked off their overall 10th birthday celebration in March. The theme is “With You, it’s Magic+!” There’s a new Duffy pre-parade, a Zootopia parade unit, special merchandise, limited-time menus, and the “Heart of Magic” stage show featuring Hercules on a “flying” Pegasus.
