Opening July 1, 2026, in Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort is designed with young children and families in mind. There are lands to explore, shows to see, and so much more.

Lands

At Universal Kids Resort, there are seven lands for kids and families to enjoy featuring a range of favorite characters.

DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp

In DreamWorks' Shrek's Swamp area, guests can meet Shrek and Fiona and enjoy a land themed around the swamp. The only attraction besides the meet and greet in this land is Shrek & Fiona's Happily Ogre After.

Jurassic World Adventure Camp

Universal Kids Resort

Jurassic World Adventure Camp is where some of Universal Kids Resort’s most daring rides can be found. Enjoy an adrenaline-pumping coaster or stay down to earth and do a meet and greet with a baby raptor. There are also interactive play areas at Paddock Play and Jurassic World Lookout Towers.

Attractions here include:

  • Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster
  • Pteranodrop
  • Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin

DreamWorks’ TrollsFest

Universal Kids Resort

Enter the colorful world of Trolls at TrollsFest. This land not only has a meet and greet with Poppy and her friends, but it also has two different stage shows: King Trollex Techno Dance Party and Trollstastic: Concert Countdown. Guests can also enjoy playing over at Poppy’s Playland or Trolls Critter Crawl.

TrollsFest also has two rides: Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express and Hair in the Clouds.

DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar

Universal Kids Resort

While Puss in Boots is a character who started his screen time in Shrek, he gets his own land here at Universal Kids Resort. In it, you can see him on stage at Mama Luna’s Adopt a Kitty Day! or take to the skies in the Swings Over Del Mar ride.

Isle of Curiosity

Unlike the other lands, the Isle of Curiosity is a more open-plan area. It’s a play space where kids can roam and enjoy themselves. Plus, they can meet Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse and enjoy Gabby’s Cat-Tastic Dance Party!

Sensory Gardens

According to Universal, there are sensory gardens throughout Universal Kids Resort. These are meant to provide families a place to “pause, reset, and reconnect.” They have been created with calming settings and the chance for guests to explore using touch, sound, and color for moments of peace.
