More Stone Work Added to Former Refreshment Port at EPCOT, Roof Touched Up

As we reported last week, stone work is being completed on the columns surrounding the former Refreshment Port kiosk at EPCOT. We also noticed that the roof has been touched up, eliminating the two-tone color we saw the other day. Signage was also removed

Refreshment Port Work

Since closing January 12, EPCOT’s Refreshment Port has been steadily undergoing a refurbishment to become La Poutinerie, sponsored by Air Canada.

Rock work is completely (or nearing completion) finished around the visible columns. They are misshaped but still piece together nicely.

The roof of the kiosk has also been touched up for an all-gray look. Previously, some areas were copper, to which we posited that it may be a paint/finishing test.

La Poutinerie Concept Art

Air Canada will soon host La Poutinerie, a reimagined Refreshment Port near the Canada pavilion at EPCOT.

Air Canada, the stand sponsor, revealed concept art for the updated venue last month. Refreshment Port already sold poutine, so the update may be more of an aesthetic one. Concept art shows new signage, information boards, and geese figures flying out of a tree.

The description from Air Canada reads: “A taste of Canada at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada, brings a Canadian classic with a twist.”

Air Canada is the Official Canadian Airline of Walt Disney World Resort, offering various Disney perks to guests who book through them and become Aeroplan Members.
