Stone Work and Roof Details Added to EPCOT's Refreshment Port

New color on the roof and stonework being added around the former Refreshment Port kiosk indicates its current retheming. Since closing January 12, EPCOT’s Refreshment Port has been steadily undergoing a refurbishment to become La Poutinerie, sponsored by Air Canada.

Refreshment Port Refurbishment

When we last covered the ongoing work at the former Refreshment Port, we noticed construction lights being implemented around the site. The columns on the corners of the building were also still bare, which is no longer the case.

As you can see above, rocks are being placed around the kiosk's columns. These rocks appear to be coming together like a puzzle piece around the column furthest to the back right of the kiosk. From what we can see, this is the only visible column with the stonework so far.

In addition to the installation of rock work, there are now two colors seen throughout the roof of the kiosk. It is unclear if this is a paint/finishing test or if it is an aesthetic treatment.

La Poutinerie Concept Art

Air Canada will soon host La Poutinerie, a reimagined Refreshment Port near the Canada pavilion at EPCOT.

Air Canada, the stand sponsor, revealed concept art for the updated venue last month. Refreshment Port already sold poutine, so the update may be more of an aesthetic one. Concept art shows new signage, information boards, and geese figures flying out of a tree.

The description from Air Canada reads: “A taste of Canada at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada brings a Canadian classic with a twist.”

Air Canada is the Official Canadian Airline of Walt Disney World Resort, offering various Disney perks to guests who book through them and become Aeroplan Members.
